VENTURA, CA -- The ninth annual gathering of the stone 'tribe,' will take place from January 19 to 23, 2010 in Ventura, CA, just north of Los Angeles. There will be interesting and informative presentations and demonstrations, lively discourse, camaraderie and conviviality. Associated activities will include the annual "Rocknockers Rendezvous," the Second Lithic Olympic Games, a communal public art project and the Stone Foundation's general membership meeting. Prior to the Symposium, there will be a Japanese Dry Stone Walling Workshop, which will be held from January 8 to 18, and an Architectural Stone Carving Workshop, scheduled for January 12 to 18.
