In June, a group of architects participated in the first “Designing with Natural Stone” Portugal, which is a branded event of the Marmomacc Stone Academy.

For years, the Marble Institute of America (MIA) has led study tours to quarries around the U.S., Canada and abroad.

One of the latest acquisitions for Endless Mountain Stone is an historic Bluestone quarry site that dates back to 1848, when the famed Starrucca Viaduct was built near Lanesboro, PA.

From the northern reaches of Minnesota, Coldspring’s quarries for Mesabi Black and Lake Superior Green granite are being used for landmark projects across the country — including work at the World Trade Center site in New York City

 

The 15th edition of the Marmomacc Stone Academy’s continuing education program on stone design for architects was another example of the show’s international dimension.
