Established in 1989, Kangli Stone Group has grown to become a strong entity in the global stone industry. The company, which specializes in the production of natural stone and quartz surfacing, is headquartered in Shenzhen — a major city in the south of Southern China’s Guangdong Province, situated immediately north of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The area became China’s first, and one of the most successful, Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Kangli Stone Group comprises more than 3,000 employees and operates several production facilities throughout China. “We have built production bases in Shenzhen, Shuituo, Huidong and Tianjin, creating a huge production platform with a complete product structure to provide high-caliber products for large projects,” said President Rose Wang of Kangli Stone Group. Moreover, the company built locations in Shanghai and Beijing in 1997.
The factory in Shenzhen, which was opened in 1998, covers an area of 60,000 square meters and houses an impressive line-up of advanced stoneworking equipment from Italy and Spain as well as China’s most advanced profiled processing CNC machine tool and automatic grinding and polishing line. Among the Italian manufacturers are Breton, GMM and Pedrini. With the opening of this production facility, Kangli introduced itself as a manufacturer of quartz surfacing as well as natural stone. Its annual production rate at the Shenzhen plant includes 1.2 million square meters of stone slabs and 600,000 square meters of quartz surfacing, as well as 30,000 square meters of curved panels for columns.
