Limestone and marble used to make elegant, durable home in Austin, TX
A hilltop home in Austin, TX, coined “House on the Corner,” is a showcase of Lueders limestone and a variety of marble — making for an elegant yet durable design
Sitting atop one of the many hills in Austin, TX, is a 5,500-square-foot home coined “House on the Corner.” A palette of Lueders limestone — both in veneer and tile format — was utilized throughout the home’s exterior and interior design to create a space reminiscent of the country with contemporary elements.
“Hovering over the sloping corner of a wooded lot, this hill country contemporary house provides privacy from the street below, yet thoughtfully frames views of the surrounding hills,” said Principal James LaRue, AIA, of LaRue Architects in Austin, TX, who designed the residence. “This glass house mixes interior and exterior spaces, while drawing attention to the inviting pool which intimately engages the house.”
