I just returned from Spain, where Tile of Spain was gracious enough to invite me as part of its VIP trip to visit Cevisama, the annual ceramic tile exhibition held in Valencia, Spain. In addition to other editors like me, the trip also included three architects and a designer who were winners of Tile of Spain's "Passport to Creativity" contest. The idea of the competition is to choose members from the design community who express a passion to learn and introduce them to the benefits of using Spanish tile in their designs.
I have been fortunate to be hosted by Tile of Spain on this trip several times in the past, and I have to say, it never disappoints. Not only is the trip well organized, but the association also goes to great lengths to showcase the best Spain has to offer -- from its architecture to many of its impressive ceramic tile factories to its fine cuisine.
