BOLOGNA, ITALY -- The concept to be used for the 2013 edition of Cersaie, the international exhibition of ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings in Bologna, Italy, alludes to the everyday activity of putting out wash while underscoring the excellence of Italian ceramics. It is a strikingly simple idea that fully captures the soul of Italian ceramics.
The concept for the show was created by Luigi Capraro, a student from the ISIA institute in Bologna who won the third edition of the Beautiful Ideas competition. Promoted by Confindustria Ceramica and Edi.Cer, the competition invites students at Italian university faculties and design institutes to create the image for the following year’s edition of the international show.
