Walker Zanger, a leading supplier of stone and tile, announced the acquisition of Cerámica Antique, one of the world’s largest artisan ceramic tile manufacturing facilities. WZ Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walker & Zanger, Inc. has acquired majority ownership of the facility, which is located in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Cerámica Antique is responsible for producing some of the most popular Walker Zanger collections: Studio Moderne by Michael Berman, Vibe, Ceramica Alhambra and Mizu. Prior to the acquisition, Walker Zanger worked hand-in-hand with the facility to develop patented techniques for producing artisan glazes. Walker Zanger now owns the licenses to the proprietary technology that allows large-format tile with artisan glazes to be produced without warpage, as featured in the 1 x 24-inch tiles in the Mizu Collection, or the 18- x 20-inch Fretwork tiles in the Studio Moderne Collection by Michael Berman.

Surfaces has launched a new, state-of-the-art Web site aimed at providing both exhibitors and attendees up-to-date industry information as well as providing historical data specific to their participation in all Hanley Wood shows. The newly designed Web site offers visitors a more user-friendly experience, both from an aesthetic and functionality perspective. Each page is designed with far less copy than on the previous site and is enhanced with clickable imagery making navigation throughout the site much more intuitive to the user. The highlight feature is the portal site, ConnectionPOINT. By logging into ConnectionPOINT, attendees can view show specific information by year as well as register for any Hanley Wood show. Exhibitors can view their past booth sizes and sponsorships across all shows, and for the first time, they can submit their exhibit space contracts and sponsorships online.

Surfaces’ new Web site is located atwww.Surfaces.com, and Surfaces 2010 will be held February 2 to 4, 2010 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
