Excellence in architecture was the spirit of the evening on May 16, when the 2001 Tucker Awards were presented at a dinner held at the University Club in Denver, CO. Sponsored by the Building Stone Institute (BSI), the awards program was held in conjunction with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention.
The entries were judged by an independent panel of architects without the participation of any member of the stone industry, according to the BSI. The projects were considered for their excellence in concept, design, construction and use of natural stone.
