WALKER ZANGER OPENS ITS LARGEST SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SHOWROOM

Walker Zanger recently announced the opening of its largest Southern California showroom in Tustin, CA.

SYLMAR, CA - Walker Zanger recently announced the opening of its largest Southern California showroom in Tustin, CA. The more than 60,000-square-foot facility replaces the former Costa Mesa, CA, location. The showroom houses 25 signature Walker Zanger vignettes, a natural stone slab warehouse, soaring architectural elements and impressive design details such as a 14-foot-high limestone fireplace. The facility also boasts energy-efficient and “green” elements.

“At Walker Zanger, we understand we have a responsibility to not only provide beautiful high-quality products, but also be good stewards of the resources we have,” said Kim Bernard, ASID, IIDA, Executive Director of Facilities Design for Walker Zanger. “We made a lot of great progress to proactively reduce the carbon footprint of this facility, and we see this as a way of giving back to the city of Tustin and the environment.”

Many environmentally focused practices help accomplish the incorporation of thoughtful green design throughout the new showroom. Skylights with high-efficiency light-gathering domes were installed to improve the amount of daylight in the office and warehouse spaces. A computerized Energy Management System controls air conditioning and lighting systems (circuited through motion detectors), and shuts them down when not in use. Additionally, the Tustin showroom also features low-VOC paints, Greenguard™ wallcoverings by Wolf Garden and Silver Level Certified “cradle to cradle” Answer furniture systems by Steelcase, Inc., which are the centerpieces of each workstation.

The Tustin showroom’s distinctive style touches are displayed in many vignettes on the sales floor. Unique design elements are also carried into more common areas of the facility that provide the opportunity to showcase Walker Zanger products in real applications: the facility’s working kitchen “café” and each of the five restrooms.

The Tustin showroom is located at 1702 Edinger Avenue and is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. For more information, call (714) 546-3671 or visit the company’s Web site at: www.walkerzanger.com.
