September 1, 2006

Universal Granite & Marble Inc. (UGM), the Illinois-based natural stone supplier, has launched its first stone gallery in the Southeast in Atlanta, GA.

The latest stone gallery, located in Norcross Industrial Court just off Buford Highway in Atlanta, stocks a vast array of granite, marble, limestone, travertine and engineered stone in a single location. It features 65,000 square feet of warehouse and “stone gallery” space, and it is anticipated to be launched in October. The gallery, consistent with UGM policy, is being designed to allow customers the ease and comfort to make choices and view the slabs. Among the materials on display will be a range of exotic stones, including the proprietary UGM Elite Collection. The stone gallery is also equipped with cutting-edge technology for material display and movement.

In stocking the new facility, Anik Narula, CEO of UGM, said the company spent 18 months studying the local market trends. “Many fabricators and other stone outlets in the area have expressed their interest in the great line of new products now available through UGM-Georgia,” he said. “They also appear to be looking forward to working with the new kid on the block.”

The new location adds to UGM's seven existing locations in give states - Naperville, IL, Bellwood, IL, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Milwaukee, WI, Cleveland, OH and St. Louis, MO.
