New Equipment: Breton Combicut DJ/NC

September 1, 2005

Now available from Breton is the Combicut DJ/NC, a bridge saw and waterjet in one. The software installed on this machine automatically decides when to use the diamond disk or the waterjet for cutting the same slab. Combicut doubles productivity at less than half of normal running costs, according to Breton. It is a numerically controlled bridge saw with three interpolated axis, specially engineered to cut and shape items of marble, granite, natural quartz surfaces and stone in general, using a diamond disk and a water cutting head. The cutting units holding the diamond disk and the waterjet can work the same piece in succession so as to optimize the slab surface, or they may work independently from each other. Combicut will be presented at the next Marmomacc trade fair in Verona, which will be held from September 29 to October 2, 2005.
