New distribution center

ATLANTA, GA -- M. S. International, Inc. [MSI], announced that it has opened a new distribution center in Atlanta, GA. With 50,000 square feet of warehouse space and 8,000 square feet of office space located on 4.3 acres, the new location is approximately double the size of MSI's previous southeast distribution center in Atlanta. The new distribution center allows MSI to broaden its inventory of natural stone products, including tiles, slabs, landscaping products and monuments. The location is ideally situated in the Fulton Industrial District, with easy access to all major highways, and it enables MSI to better serve customers in the Southeast region.

MSI first entered the Southeastern market in early 2002. The growing demand for a full-service natural stone distributor in the southeast, with a broad product line of premium quality natural stone available at the lowest prices, resulted in MSI outgrowing its facility in less than two years, according to the company. “With two overhead cranes, a modern showroom as well as state-of-the art systems, MSI will have the most efficient natural stone distribution center in the southeast,” stated Amit Khurana, branch manager. “We believe that the new facility will enable MSI to maintain among the largest inventories of natural stone in the southeast.”

This expansion in the southeast follows a similar move made by MSI in the Northeastern market in the summer of 2003. In addition, MSI is currently in the process of relocating its corporate headquarters and West Coast distribution center to Orange, CA. The new facility will encompass over 170,000 square feet of warehouse and office space located on more than 12 acres of land.

With the distribution center expansion in Atlanta, MSI now has in excess of 12 million square feet of natural stone inventory available in five strategically located distribution centers nationwide, the company reports.
