CNC tooling contest held

The Terminator set of tools from Continental Diamond Products, Inc. recently won a competition held as part of the Stone Fabricators Alliance Workshop at Qualey Granite of Bangor, ME.

A contest of CNC tooling was held as part of a Stone Fabricators Alliance (SFA) Workshop held at Qualey Granite from August 12 to 14.

“The sponsors got together and ran their tools on the same CNC to see which would obtain the best polish, and then the fabricators voted on it,” explained SFA Executive Director Dan Riccolo of Morris Granite. “The Terminator set of tools [from Continental Products, Inc.] won the competition.”

“The ogee set and the A profile can save you a lot of time with the way we designed them -- with the top and bottom radius breaking the edge,” explained Eric Pate, Technical Director/Sales for Continental Diamond.
