The first set of seminars at the new National Training Center for Stone and Masonry Trades West Coast facility in Gilroy, CA, were held from June 13 to 16. The Stone Fabrication Seminar was attended by over 18 students from across the West Coast, and two students from Taiwan also were in attendance. The Stone Restoration Seminar had over ten students. NTC Director Fred Hueston conducted the seminars along with Frank Zamora, NTC West director.

“We have waited a long time to come to the West Coast, and it was worth the wait. Our new training facility is great. We have access to not only the basic tools for stone fabrication and restoration, but also all of the state-of-the-art machinery, such as CNC, waterjet, line polisher, laser etching and more,” said Hueston. In addition to traditional seminars, NTC West can also conduct all seminars in Spanish, explained Zamora.
