Mapei has introduced an advanced generation formula of Kerapoxy -- a stain-free grout. In re-formulating this grout, Mapei reduced the skin sensitivity of the product, so that installers who are sensitive to epoxy grouts could work with it without fear, the company reports. The spreadability was also enhanced so Kerapoxy would act more like conventional cement-based grout. Additionally, Mapei reduced the amount of film present during the washing stage, while maintaining a non-sag advantage whether the grout is used on horizontal or vertical surfaces. Kerapoxy takes only 2 to 3 minutes to mix per unit, and is stain-free, crack-free and does not require sealing, according to Mapei.
