Limestone symposium expands in 2001

The Bloomington (Indiana) Area Arts Council and Bybee Stone Co. are adding a second secction to the 5th Annual Limestone Symposium. Dates for 2001 are Session One (June 16 to 22) and Session Two (June 25 to July 1).

For the past four years, carvers from across the world have traveled to Indiana to participate in the Limestone Symposium. Sculptors of all skill levels have the opportunity to apprentice under skillful masters and perfect their craft in specialized areas like ornate architectural carving, lettering, figure, portraits and large-scale carvings. Sessions are held at the Bybee Stone Co. in Ellettsville, IN, about five miles northwest of Bloomington.
