Bangalore Stone Fair Draws An International Crowd
Stona 2004 attracted more than 360 exhibitors from all over India and overseas, according to show organizers. This included 15 Italian participants and 19 Chinese exhibitors as well as companies from Turkey, Egypt, Korea, China, Italy and Spain. A special pavilion was created at the fairgrounds for buyers and sellers to meet. This event drew an enthusiastic response from Indian and foreign companies in the stone sector. Over 50 participants from foreign countries and approximately 60 Indian companies participated in this event, where more than 150 one-to-one meetings between Indian and foreign companies were organized. Additionally, STONA offered Shilpagram, an Artisans Village, where artisans display new stone creations; geology seminars, architect seminars and a Stone Museum as well as the exhibition and product displays.
