CROSSVILLE, TN -- Woody Mercer of Cumberland Mountain Stone, a division of Turner Bros. Stone, died on Friday, May 16, 2014 due to the result of a two-vehicle accident in Crossville, TN. Initial reports indicate his vehicle hydroplaned from wet road conditions, crossed the lane and struck an oncoming vehicle.
Woody was an adored and involved member of the Building Stone Institute (BSI).

"We could rely on him to be active, engaged, responsive and broadly supportive of BSI initiatives," said Jane Bennett, BSI Executive Director. "He and wife Jelene were regular attendees at our annual meetings and study tours. We enjoyed his calls to the office and regret he won't be with us to enjoy Florida during our 2015 annual meeting. He truly enjoyed the opportunity of those get-a-ways and to be with the members, and was one of the inspirations in our deciding to go back to a stand-alone event. He will be dearly missed."

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Monday, May 19, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Crossville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of: Bilbrey Funeral Home, 76 E. Adams St., Crossville, TN 38555, (931) 484-6119.
