Artisan Group countertop fabricators across America raised more than $32,000 at the group’s third national granite yard sale, “Counters For A Cause.” The event helps Homes for Our Troops build specially adapted homes for veterans. Homeowners purchased stone remnants and slabs at discounted prices and helped a veteran at the same time. With all three Counters For A Cause sales, Artisan Group members have raised a total just shy of $100,000.

The top fundraisers are Construction Resources in Decatur, GA, raising more than $8,000; Duracite of Fairfield, CA, with more than $6,000, and Eastern Surfaces in Allentown, PA, and Rocky Mountain Stone in Albuquerque, NM, both raising nearly $3,000. Other Artisan Group members who participated in Counters For A Cause or donated to Homes For Our Troops include:  AHI Stoneworks in Hot Springs, AR; Wood Dimensions in Cleveland, OH; Top Master in Kansas City, KS; Hoffman Fixtures in Tulsa, OK; Trindco in Suffolk, VA; Innovative Surfaces in Hastings, MN; Blume’s Solid Surfaces in Pittsburgh, PA; Lakeside Solid Surfaces in Norton Shores, MI; Surface Products in Cornelius, NC, and SolidTops in Easton, MD.

“Giving back to the veterans who have sacrificed for us through our Counters For A Cause fundraiser is an honor for the Artisan Group,” said Chad Seiders, Executive Director for the Artisan Group. “The funds help build homes for these veterans that improve their quality of life, and we are happy to be a small part of that life-changing project.”

“For the third year, the Artisan Group has stepped up to support our nation’s heroes through Counters For A Cause. Homes for Our Troops truly appreciates the selfless fundraising efforts of such a patriotic organization,” said Major General Timothy P. McHale USA, Retired, President and Director of Homes for Our Troops. “It’s because of the support from companies like the Artisan Group throughout this country, we are able to restore freedom and independence to our severely injured veterans through the gift of a specially adapted home.”
