Blanco, the German manufacturer of finely crafted sinks and faucets, is a 2012 Interior Design Best of Year (BOY) Honoree for the Blanco Crystalline sink. Crystalline also won an iF award for its innovative hideaway functionality.

Blanco has been recognized by the design community with five Interior Design BOY awards in the last four years for MicroEdge, Solon, Ronis, Culina and now Crystalline. (Three of the five were BOY Winners.) Blanco is the only company to have been a four-time finalist in the “Kitchen Fixtures” category at the BOY Awards. Blanco also holds the record for BOY Winners in the same category.

Crystalline’s integrated opaque safety glass functions as a cutting board, visually hiding the sink while creating valuable counterspace in tight kitchen spaces. Crafted with Blanco’s MicroEdge™ technology, the sink drops into the countertop with a virtual flush edge, creating a seamless look that is easy to maintain.

Interior designers and architects selected Best of Year Product Design finalists via an online vote from 660 submissions. A jury of leading architects and designers determined winners. Over 86,000 votes were tallied in this year’s competition.
