CINCINNATI, OH--The Rookwood Pottery Co., historic maker of one-of-a-kind handcrafted architectural tile and art pottery, has hired Rick Wiley, a graphic designer with more than 20 years of marketing and photography experience, to the newly created position of Director, Graphic Design.

Wiley will oversee the creation and development of all Rookwood Pottery marketing materials, as well as its growing library of product catalogs. In his career, Wiley has created promotional materials, catalogs and flyers that have helped generate millions of dollars in sales for his clients, which ranged from hotels, restaurants, airports and musicians.

"Rick's experience includes marketing products with both a U.S. and European scope, which is essential to Rookwood as it regains its international notoriety," said Martin Wade, owner of Rookwood Pottery. "As a bonus, he has extensive musical marketing experience -- he created the award-winning 'Dagger' guitar shape featured in the Jack Black movie, 'The Pick of Destiny.'"

Before joining Rookwood, Wiley worked for Adecco, where he managed administrative contract work for Procter & Gamble's International Stock Ownership Plan division. He also served as graphic designer for Robin Imaging, and Art Director at Hanser Music Group, whose brands include B.C. Rich Guitars and Kustom Amplification. Wiley earned a degree in commercial art at Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in Cincinnati. He studied software training at Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, OH.
