Innovative Stone opens Chicago office

CHICAGO, IL --Tracy Streckenbach, Chief Operating Officer of Innovative Stone, the flagship brand of Innovative Global Brands, is pleased to announce the opening of a new sales office in Chicago, IL. This office will serve clients and projects throughout the Midwest, South Central, and Mountain regions of the U.S. In addition to the company's world headquarters in Hauppauge, NY and its expanding operations in Xiamen, Fujian Province China, the Chicago office marks the third sales office for the company.

The Chicago office will be headed by Bryan Olson, Director of Commercial Sales- Midwest, South Central, and Mountain Regions, and John Gordon, Senior Account Manager- Midwest Region.

Bryan Olson joins Innovative Stone with over ten years of experience in the industry as an architectural sales consultant, business development manager, and regional sales manager. Prior to his role at Innovative he was employed by both Stone Source and Terrazzo & Marble Supply Co. At Stone Source, he was responsible for all architectural sales in an eight state region within the healthcare, hospitality, and education sectors. At Terrazzo & Marble Supply Co., Olson managed a base of over 1,500 contractors, architects, and interior design firms all while increasing sales by 43% within a five state territory region.

John Gordon brings over 15 years of experience in the stone industry to his role at Innovative. His background includes positions as showroom sales and distribution manager, project manager, design consultant and outside sales representative. Working with the industry’s leading architects and designers, including the top 80 firms located in and around Texas, Gordon successfully built and developed the Texas market. Previous to Innovative Global Brands, Gordon was a high-performing sales representative at Stone Source. Prior to Stone Source, he was employed by Tile Concepts Design Studio where he increased dealer sales by 100% in two years.

Surfaces 2013 preview

Surfaces 2013 -- to be held in conjunction with StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas -- is slated for January 29 to 31 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The show, which also includes an extensive educational program that will be held from January 28 to 31, provides a place for thousands of floor covering retailers, distributors, installers, architects, designers and builders from around the world to gather and view the latest products, get vital education, network with other floor covering professionals and conduct business.

More than 600 of the largest manufacturers and suppliers representing products in every major category, including carpet, tile, hardwood, rugs, laminate, resilient and stone, are expected to exhibit at the trade show. Hanley Wood, owner and operator of the exhibition, reports that they have many new exhibiting companies and returning ones who have expanded their booth size. Additionally, Surfaces 2013 will host more than 40 workshops, seminars and mini sessions led by industry experts in the fields of business, sales, marketing, installation and design. Attendees can earn AIA, NKBA, AIBD, IICRC and AIA/CES industry designation. Here is just a small sampling of some of the displays that will be present at Surfaces 2013.
