Held annually in Valencia, Spain, Cevisama — the International Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings Exhibition — celebrated its 30th edition from February 7 to 10, 2012.  And once again, the fair attracted an international crowd who came to view the endless tile collections displayed by more than 700 exhibitors.

The exhibition halls were filled with a vast array of product lines that satisfy all design styles.  Rustic-looking surfaces on tiles made to resemble stone and wood were a noticeable trend at this year’s exhibition.  Moreover, tile lines made to mimick the look and feel of cement and concrete were also among many of the displays.

According to many tile manufacturers, 24- x 24-inch formats have become the new standard for floor tiles.  Oversized tiles are not only being employed for floor designs, but also are being used for wall applications.

And with the green building movement rolling forward, numerous product lines are promoting the use of recycled content.  Additionally, tile manufacturers are pointing out their environmentally friendly production processes.
