LUMBERTON, NJ -- Blanco, the German manufacturer of finely crafted sinks and faucets, is a 2011 Interior Design Best of Year (BOY) Finalist Award and winner of the Good Design Award for the beautiful Blanco Culina Semi Professional faucet. Blanco awards

The Blanco Culina displays clear innovation combined with artistic appeal. Culina is the ultimate chef's faucet -- redefined with elegant lines and a breakthrough magnetic hook up with closed coil that offer effortless performance without entanglement. The Culina is no stranger to winning awards. In the past year alone, the exceptional faucet has swept top industry honors, including KB Culture, iF, Red Dot and IDEA awards.

"The Culina's charm and breakthough design has made a huge impact in the industry," stated Tim Maicher, Director of Marketing for Blanco. "Winning so many awards by such highly regarded peers is remarkable."

Blanco has been recognized by the design community with four Interior Design BOY awards in the last three years for MicroEdge, Solon, Ronis and now Culina. (Three of the four awards were BOY Winners.) The editors of Interior Design Magazine post their Merit Finalist selections from a wide field of entries and then BOY Winners are selected by the design community through online voting. Over 60,000 votes were tallied in this year's competition.

The Good Design Award is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and honors everyday products from the world's most prominent designers and manufacturers, including Mercedes Benz, Apple, BMW, Porsche, BSH Bosch, etc. Several thousands of entries from over 50 nations submitted the best of their new products to the world's most important design program that honors innovation, vision, sustainability and the competitive design edge.
