ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Coverings is once again seeking superior stone and tile projects that place a premium on innovative sustainable design. Worthy installations will be recognized by "PROJECT: Green," a program presented by the international tile and stone show together withEnvironmental Design + Construction (ED+C)magazine, a sister publication ofStone WorldandContemporary Stone & Tile Design. Projects chosen for their exceptional eco-minded achievements will be honored in a centerpiece display at the exposition and conference, which will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, from April 17 to 24, 2012. In 2011, five PROJECT: Green honorees included Green Builder Media's Orlando showhouse, where sustainable ceramic and porcelain tile products from Florim and Refin were used, and a swimwear fashion boutique in Coconut Creek, FL, that incorporated a Silestone countertop with 75% recycled content. Also recognized were a 2,200-square-foot pool patio designed by Colorco Ltd of Merrimack, NH, and a bathroom in Norwood, NJ.
