JEFFERSON, ME -- J.C. Stone promotes "Maine sculptors working in Maine stone" at its second annual "J.C. Stone Sculpture Symposium," which was held on October 8 and 9 as well October 15 and 16. The event took place at J.C. Stone's facility in Jefferson, ME. Public viewing hours were held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Last year, the company organized its first annual sculpture symposium featuring Don Meserve along with eight of his colleagues from around the state. The objects produced ranged in size from monumental to intimate. Many of these pieces have been exhibited in art galleries around the state and a number have been added to important private collections.
