CLEMMONS, NY — Champlain Stone has expanded its quarrying operations, adding Wood Creek Granite® to its comprehensive listing of company-quarried natural stone material. The firm is currently quarrying this gray/blue to dark gray granite, which shows patterns of white swirls and striations with occasional quartz and mica inclusions.

“We’re excited about this new material,” said Ryan McLaughlin, Champlain’s Director of New Business Development. “Opening the Wood Creek quarry has allowed us to expand the range of colors and products we offer to the market. We are producing it in both rubble and sawn forms from which a variety of architectural stone applications may be specified, including building veneer, landscaping applications and dimensional work.

Additionally, the properties of Wood Creek make it an excellent stone to be fabricated for architectural components such as paving, sills, water tables, tiles and more.”
