manufacturer of stoneworking equipment. Ballarin is accepting a directorship within the Breton family of companies.

In his new role, Van Der Bas will be responsible for spearheading Breton’s sales and marketing activities in the U.S. and Canada.

As a sales specialist for Breton on the East Coast, Van Der Bas worked closely with Ballarin to focus on scalable solutions for fabricators. He was instrumental in the U.S. market research and configuration development of Breton’s initial release of its “Fabcenter” product — a response to the all-in-one machine trend. Van Der Bas has been active in several industry-related Web forums and trade associations, and he worked on the Marble Institute of America’s industry glossary committee.

Van Der Bas brings with him 15 years of experience in CNC machinery sales, and he has been involved in the Breton organization since 2003 as a sales agent, and more recently, sales representative for several U.S. states. He currently resides in Fountainville, PA, with his wife Rachel and three children.

In addition to its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Italy, Breton has two technical support offices in the U.S., which are located in Sarasota, FL, and Detroit, MI.

Van Der Bas can be reached at 941-330-4148 or by E-mail at: gvanderbas@bretonusa.com.
