Flex-North America, Inc., an innovator of the wet polisher for natural stone and concrete, recently announced a redesign of its German-manufactured LW 1503 unit, which features numerous advantages, reports the company. The new slim design water feed and flow control is fitted under the motor housing, delivering water thru the 3-jet disbursement nozzle, directly to the work surface. The variable speed 1,200 to 3,700 rpm, 9.3 amps, 1,150 watt motor, with 6-foot GFCI cord offers operator protection, increased reliability and longevity. This unit, like all Flex units, is protected against abrasive dust and rust through powder coating and lacquer-coated magnetic fields, which extends the life of the tool, according to Flex-North America. A spindle lock, comfort grip cover, bail handle and dust protected switch with soft start and overload protection are also added standard features on this unit, which is available beginning in the spring of 2011 from a local distributor.
