Tomaino Marmi e Graniti of Castellamonte, Turin, Italy, recently invested in a Pedrini Multiwire Jupiter GS200-W8, which allows for rapid cutting of blocks into slabs of different thickness. The company specializes in the production of Diorite from Piemonte.

For more than 30 years, Tomaino Marmi e Graniti of Castellamonte, Turin, Italy, has enjoyed a relationship of professional collaboration with stone machinery supplier, Pedrini of Bergamo, Italy. This has continued with Tomaino’s purchase of a new multi-wire saw for processing blocks into slabs.

A family-operated business, Tomaino Marmi e Graniti owns the Diorite quarries in Piemonte. Giuseppe Tomaino, the founder of the company, is passing his experience and skill in the natural stone processing down to his sons. With that comes a commitment to continue purchasing advanced technology for stone processing.

Recently, the company invested in a Pedrini Multiwire Jupiter GS200-W8, which allows for rapid cutting of blocks into slabs of different thickness. The Multiwire Jupiter GS200-W8 can be fitted with up to eight diamond wires to produce slabs with a thickness ranging from 2 to 10 cm. It is possible to modify the thickness quickly and simply.

The structure and the simplicity of the machine, even in terms of wire tensioning, allows for the cutting of both soft and hard materials.

Known as the “Dior of Piemonte,” Diorite is characterized by its optimum technical properties and its resistance to frost. It is used in high-traffic areas such as railway stations and airports, and it is sold in Italy and around the world.
