The Vitoria Stone Fair kicked off today in Vitoria, Brazil, where many of the nation's large-scale stoneworking plants are located.

The Vitoria Stone Fair kicked off on February 23 in the stoneworking center of Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil, and exhibitors expressed optimism for the event and business in general.

"We are doing better," said Heliene Zucchi of Zucch Granite. "We had some very good pre-visits [before the show]. We feel people are more interested in new materials."

Of note, many exhibitors at the Vitoria Stone Fair are displaying new varieties of quartzite, with color ranges from light to dark and varying patterns.

Exhibitors include Brazilian stone producers as well as European firms with stoneworking operations in Brazil.

Further updates will be posted at www.StoneWorld.com as the show progresses.

A range of new quartzite slabs are on display, including Fusion and Tatarluga (Turtle) from Zucchi Granite.
