The new T508 texturing machine from Thibaut offers a range of surface finishes. In addition to polishing, bushhammering, honing and antiquing, the machine can produce grooves, waves, a leather finish and more. Introduced in Verona last year, Thibaut reports it is the first machine with an automatic tool changer.

This machine allows users to texture slabs that are already in stock. The machine features a compact design with easy installation, and it features heavy-duty monobloc construction to ensure rigidity and accuracy. The machine dimensions are 5,800 mm x 4,200 mm x 2,500 mm, and it has a large working capacity of 3,500 x 2,200 mm. It has folding doors for safety and easy access when necessary.

The T508 is supplied with standard or adaptable programs for pressure, movement and speed adjustments, irregular shapes, touch-ups and more. The worktable is covered with a marine plywood plate (22-mm thick) on a welded structure that is fixed on the frame. It can be fitted with an optional tilting table for easy loading and uploading. The machine accepts slabs up to 3,500 x 2,200 mm in size. A rear tool magazine has 10 positions, and the unit is equipped with automatic tool changing. The variable-speed spindle runs from 300 to 1100 rpm, with 7.5 kW of power. Pressure is applied with Thibaut’s pneumatic pressure system

Control was designed to for ease of use, with programming through a user-friendly interface. The machine is delivered with 20 pre-installed finishing programs and is immediately ready to use. It also allows for easy programming so users can create personal finishes for customers. It has programming for L-shaped kitchens or round tables. The T508 also features a touch-screen and ergonomically designed control board.
