Five Rocky Awards and six Rocky Certificates were awarded by the Marble Institute of America (MIA) following the judging of the 4th Rocky Advertising Awards competition. The winners were honored at the MIA annual Awards Luncheon, which was held this past fall during StonExpo 2008 in Las Vegas, NV.

“When MIA and sponsor, Salem Stone of Winston-Salem, NC, launched the awards program in 2005, there were two goals,” said Gary Distelhorst, Executive Vice President of the MIA. “First was to recognize the best advertising and collateral material produced by MIA companies around the world, and second, to raise the overall quality of advertising and promotion in the industry. Both goals are being achieved.”

Serving as judges this year were Christopher Peer of Idea Engine, Inc.; Liz Radivoyevitch of RAD Graphics, Inc.; and Susan Myers of Clear Blue Sky Design.
