VERONA, ITALY - This year’s festivities for the 50th anniversary of the Zanet Group, which had already begun in Brazil during the Vitória Stone Fair, were continued in the heart of Verona during Marmomacc, which was held from October 2 to 5, 2008. As a way to capture special memories from the last 50 years, the company published a book of interviews with Zanet. The book was written by Uberto Tommasi, a long-time friend who has succeeded in capturing and conveying in these pages the fatigues and joys that occurred over the last 50 years. The book expresses the strong will and determination that led 20-year-old Zanet to undertake a new business without any financial backing and who has, over half a century, created an intense network of human relations around himself thanks to his many business trips, reports Marmi Bruno Zanet.

The ongoing search for new materials led Zanet to Brazil, where the Vitória port was set up, and today it is the main hub for exporting marble and granite, alongside the large storage yard in Volargne, Verona, that was created in 1972.

Through the years, Zanet has also been involved in architectural achievements in nations around the world, including Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the U.S., Canada, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The party was a celebration without formalities, where all participants were able to share the basic values that characterize the Zanet family and on which the international firm has been founded, according to the company.
