VAN NUYS, CA -- Less than two months after it received its GreenGuard Certification, CaesarStone, an original quartz surface manufacturer, is expanding its eco-friendly partnerships even further by joining and becoming a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The USGBC is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. It has developed Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a third-party certification program and a U.S. nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. This makes CaesarStone a natural partner in advanced projects, built according to green construction practices.

"CaesarStone's membership in USGBC is the latest example of our continuous commitment to providing environmentally responsible products and to support organizations that share our commitment to the environment," said Ed Rogers, CaesarStone's Director of Business Development.

With the annual U.S. market in green building products and services increasing to $60 billion by 2010, CaesarStone's 20-year commitment to the environment is not only the right choice, but also a smart one, reports CaesarStone. The company adds that it will continue to persevere to create environmentally friendly products, for its ongoing mission is to leave the earth as beautiful as its products.
