Omax® Corp. recently announced the launch of an enhanced corporate Web site located at www.omax.com. The Web site was designed to provide in-depth, informative content that aids customers in finding the best products to suit their abrasivejet machining needs. The home page features the latest product offerings and press releases, as well as a customer focus link that allows users to learn about the innovative machining applications and methods of various Omax customers. Users are able to place the mouse over product images for close-ups, and can click on spec tabs to view features and benefits, capabilities, financing options and accessories. Additionally, each product page is accompanied by a testimonial that highlights benefits experienced by OMAX customers. The Web site’s home page also integrates audio/video feeds that spotlight Omax in the media. Another noteworthy addition to the Web site is Omax Live Chat. This interactive tool enables visitors to ask questions and receive immediate answers about OMAX abrasivejet machining systems, applications and machine support.

O&G Industries, Masonry Division hosted a continuing education program workshop for landscape architects in association with The Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (CT ASLA) in Danbury, CT. This six-hour program included presentations by Champlain Stone, Ltd., Opeil Flagstone Co., Isokern Fireplace Systems and O&G Industries. Landscape architects were taught how to incorporate locally quarried natural stone materials such as granite, limestone, Bluestone and quartzite into landscape designs. The workshop also discussed how to enhance outdoor living spaces with modular refractory fireplace systems. This program qualified for four AIA/CES learning units.
