CHARLOTTE, NC - In order to support continuing growth nationwide, Intermac America, a North American leader in stone and glass fabrication equipment, has signed on Scott Kochevar to drive sales and manage customer relationships as Product Area Manager for Southern California and Southern Nevada. In addition, Bill Wirtz has recently been appointed to the position of Product Area Manager for Illinois, Indiana and Missouri.

Kochevar comes to Intermac from Water Treatment Technologies, the manufacturer of a water filtration system for the stone industry, where he held the position of Western Regional Sales Manager. Prior to this, Kochevar worked for AGM, the U.S. distributor of Intermac CNC machining centers, for more than five years. There he handled stone and glass industry sales, specifically Comandulli, Camma and other equipment distributed by AGM at the time, within the southern California, Arizona and southern Nevada territory.

Earlier this year, Biesse America acquired AGM and subsequently created Intermac America to serve the North American stone and glass industry.

In his new role with Intermac, Kochevar will be integral to developing and executing sales strategies in support of the company’s aggressive business goals. Primarily among his responsibilities will be to provide sales force, customers and dealers with in-depth knowledge of Intermac machinery.

An accomplished corporate account executive with seven years outside sales experience, Wirtz brings a proven track record to the Intermac team. Most recently, Wirtz held the position of Territory Manager for Forest Pharmaceuticals, where he consistently surpassed sales goals, ranking 33rd out of 512 territory teams in the nation. Prior to this, he was a Lead Sales Manager for Hochbaum Machine Services, where he sold CNC machining and services to major corporations such as Boeing and U.S. Steel.

In his new role, Wirtz will be integral to developing and executing sales strategies in support of Intermac’s plans to expand throughout the region and strengthen its dealer network. In addition to promoting Intermac’s products and managing customer relationships, Wirtz will participate in efforts to enhance product knowledge among the sales force. He will also conduct seminars aimed at local dealers.

This latest addition to its management team is evidence of Intermac America’s ongoing expansion in key territories throughout the nation, according to the company.
