HAUPPAUGE, NY - On Friday, September 8th and Monday, September 11th, Innovative Stone held appointments for public viewing of the Freedom Tower Cornerstone to commemorate the five-year anniversary of September 11th. The event was held to honor and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and as a tribute to the enduring spirit of freedom, reports Innovative Stone. The event provided visitors with the opportunity to view and photograph The Freedom Stone, the official monument of the new Freedom Tower, a 20-ton block of Adirondack granite that was originally placed at Ground Zero on July 4, 2004, and then returned to its birthplace at Innovative Stone. The company stored and protected the material at its facility before ultimately returning it to The Freedom Tower site. In honor of the event, Innovative Stone gave each visitor a small piece of the same Adirondack granite used to make the Cornerstone.

“It is a true honor to have created and presented the Freedom Stone,” said Karen Pearse, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Innovative Stone. “As the current caretaker of the Freedom Stone, it is my steadfast belief that this commemorative monument belongs to all people who believe in the basic human right of freedom.”
