Mystic Granite & Marble of Orlando, FL, hosted the first of a series of regional educational programs being offered in 2006 by the Marble Institute of America (MIA). The “Increase Your Share of the Residential Countertop Market” seminar was offered on January 9 and 10 in Orlando, FL, and attracted attendees from five states as well as Canada. This seminar is the most popular of the MIA's two-day regional education programs. The first day offered a sales and showroom overview, presenting attendees the opportunity to enhance the knowledge and skills needed in the showroom. The second day provided a fabrication and installation overview. “The takeaway value of this seminar was greatly enhanced because Mystic Granite & Marble provided tours of their facility to supplement the classroom instruction,” said Jim Hieb, MIA special projects director. “Mystic was an excellent host, and their showroom is first-class.”

“We were pleased to host the first MIA seminar offered in 2006 at our facility,” said Darlene Spezzi, Owner and CEO of Mystic Granite & Marble. “The MIA is offering outstanding seminars this year for stone professionals.”

This seminar is being offered again in six cities across the U.S.: February 21-22, 2006 (San Francisco, CA); May 3-4, 2006 (Cleveland, OH); May 18-19, 2006 (Washington, DC); June 6-7, 2006 (San Diego, CA); September 6-7, 2006 (Mahwah, NJ); and December 14-15, 2006 (Dallas, TX).
