(MIA) is a new natural stone industry management tool kit, which offers 138 job descriptions covering a wide range of operations.

As part of an on-going series of management tool kits for the stone industry, the newest Management Tool Kit offers job descriptions for seven areas of operation, including sales and marketing, production/fabrication, installation, restoration, management and office administration, as well as several miscellaneous positions.

Packaged in a 3-ring binder, the forms in the tool kit are designed to be photocopied, or companies can use the electronic version from the CD which is included with the binder. With the electronic versions, users can modify to meet their individual company needs by changing any aspect of the form's content and style.

According to Jim Hieb, MIA's Director of Special Projects, the tool kit also includes helpful hints for creating sample organization charts, sample recruitment processes, the do's and don'ts of interviewing, illegal interview questions and writing basic job descriptions.

More than 25 companies in the industry contributed their best job descriptions to the project, which is the third in the series of MIA management tool kits. Other kits feature human resources and customer/sales forms.
