CLAIRSVILLE, OH - The 5th annual gathering of the stone “tribe” will take place from October 7 to 9 in St. Clairsville, OH.

This event has been characterized by inter-esting and informative presentations, lively and knowledgeable discourse, camaraderie and conviviality. Stonework Symposium 2005 is presented by the Stone Foundation, a society of stonemasons and others involved with stone, stonework and stone art (www.stonefoundation.org).

Stonework Symposium 2005 is being organized in association with Belmont Technical College and PTN, the Preservation Trades Network. It will take place on the Ohio University Eastern Campus in St. Clairsville and occur at the same time as the International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW) 2005, PTN's 9th annual gathering, which is within waking distance. IPTW features workshop/demonstrations on carpentry, roofing, bricklaying and stonemasonry, plastering, timber-framing and more. Schedules of the two events will be coordinated so that Symposium attendees may attend some sessions of the IPTW and vice versa.
