Pedrini now offers the Universal M940CN numerically controlled bridge saw. Especially suitable for producing elements for building, furnishing and funeral art in any type of stone, it is equipped with cutting blades from 400 up to 900 mm, and can also use vertical axis shaping tools.

The PC-controlled numeric control operates 6 axes and performs not only linear and circular interpolations of each pair of XY, XZ and YZ axes, but also linear interpolations and, by special software, curves on the set of three axes XYZ.

The Pedrini Universal M940CN carries out step cutting, typical for processing the hardest materials, with a tilted disc as needed. It is also designed with high resistance to cross stresses, reports the company. This structural stability enables “spatula” processing, which is an innovation introduced by Pedrini that enables work to be done with the disc transversely, to produce shaped pieces with a high-degree of surface finishing, according to Pedrini.
