Trusty-Step International, a manufacturer of slip-resistant chemicals, recently announced the introduction of the TSI-9010 Slip Meter. This portable, Horizontal Pull Slip Meter measures the resistance of leather, rubber and neolite on various floor surfaces. The reading take, or the static coefficient of friction, (SCOF), allows users to determine if their floors are safe, and if they are in compliance with OSHA and ADA requirements.

The company states that because the TSI-9010 is motor driven, the consistency of data is not dependent on the user's hand/eye coordination.

The TSI-9010 is an updated and improved version of the Horizon Pull Slip Meter, originally designed by Charles Irvine at the Liberty Mutual Research Center. Circle No. 247
