HOUSTON, TX -- Cosentino USA, producer of Silestone quartz surfacing, took its advertising campaign to a new level by promoting its line of surfacing at the Super Bowl on February 6. Cosentino, known for its innovation, is making history as the first company to advertise natural quartz surfacing on television and the first to bring countertop advertising to the Super Bowl. The Silestone brand was highlighted in a 30-second national spot on the Fox network's telecast, which

aired during the two-minute warning of the first half.

Headquartered in Houston, Cosentino USA has grown in seven short years from a four-person company in 1997 to the largest distributor of natural quartz surfacing in North America, with more than 100 employees today. Cosentino kicked off its first national television advertising campaign with its Silestone Super Bowl spot.

“What better place to show [Silestone's] beauty, durability and long-term performance than on one of the world's most watched televised events, the Super Bowl?” said Mike Heylmun, vice president of sales, Cosentino USA.

Freed Advertising created the concept and produced the 30-second spot, which had a $1 million production budget and was shot on 35 mm film. The ad featured an entertaining, memorable script with football Hall of Famer and former NFL coach Mike Ditka as well as members of the 1985 Chicago Bears championship team, William “Refrigerator” Perry and Jim McMahon. In addition, Dennis Rodman, a very recognizable former National Basketball Association player, added his unique style to the excitement.
