From Michael and Carolyn Spellman, and the entire staff of IGE Solutions: It is with extreme sadness that we have to inform you of the untimely passing of Ken Van Pelt, our Western U.S. Vice President of Sales and our close friend. Ken was killed on Sunday, February 20, 2005 in a tragic accident.

Ken has been a tremendous asset to IGE Solutions in his three years with the company. Ken was truly a larger than life character, and his presence at IGE was felt in many ways. From his successful sales efforts and his great sense of humor, to his loyal and sincere friendship, Ken was an important part of our IGE family. To merely say that Ken will be missed is a huge understatement. Ken will be missed more than words can express. IGE will never be quite the same without Ken's infectious enthusiasm and dedication.

IGE Solutions will move forward, and with our expanding staff of experienced sales personnel, we will continue providing excellent service to Ken's customers, but we realize that Ken will never be replaced. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we come to terms with this tragic loss, both professionally and personally, and begin the slow transition to new personnel in our Western U.S. sales territory.

Ken is survived by his wife, Brenda, and his stepson, Austin. Ken started his career in the stone industry nearly 10 years ago, after attending and playing football at Saddleback Junior College in Irvine, CA.

Ken's family and friends gathered to celebrate his life in a memorial tribute at High Desert Church in Victorville, CA, on Friday, February 25, 2005. Ken is laid to rest near his home in Victorville.

Ken Van Pelt was so much more than our associate. He was our dear friend, and we know many of you considered him your friend as well. He will be missed by all of us, but never forgotten.
