Crescent Stone Co., a new natural stone producer from the Iron Range of Minnesota, now offers unlimited quantities of Stromatolite Stone. This fossilized stone, which averages seven on the hardness scale, is between 1.7 and 3 billion years old. Usually only found in small quantities, the company is excited to report its large finding, which would be ideal for commercial use, it reports. Additionally, it offers stone furnishings such as countertops, vanities and tabletops as well as tiles. Crescent Stone Co. is currently contracting with Chinese fabricators to cut unlimited design pieces, such as 6-foot-round spheres that revolve in a water-filled bowl, pyramids, etc.
