An informative video presentation -- which takes the viewer from quarrying natural stone through all of the steps that take it into the home or business -- has been produced by the Marble Institute of America (MIA), and is available immediately for businesses in all facets of the natural stone industry.

Called “From the Quarry to the Kitchen,” the program, available on DVD, tells how natural stone emerges from quarries around the world and is transformed into a thing of beauty in home kitchens, baths, business offices and other areas.

“This is an impressive, highly professional story that can help consumers appreciate how nature's premier building material is transformed by the industry into the centerpiece of today's kitchens, baths and other areas,” said Garis F. Distelhorst, executive vice president of the 1,200-member MIA, which is an organization representing all facets of the industry.

Distelhorst said the DVD is embedded in a loop for continuous play in a stone company or kitchen and bath dealer show rooms or on a the home-show floor, or it can be given to individual customers to show how the industry strives for two things -- enhancing the beauty of stone through perfection every step of the way -- and ultimate customer satisfaction.

The one-hour loop is available to MIA and National Kitchen & Bath Association members for $25 each for units up to two, or $15 for three or more copies. The non-member price is $35 per copy.
