The Georgia Marble Co. offers a new brochure featuring modern and historic photos of the company's quarries, as well as four-color photos of the prominent projects in which the company has been involved, including the Lincoln Memorial, the New York Stock Exchange Building and Chicago's Buckingham Fountain.

The story of quarrying of stone in North Georgia is told, beginning with the discovery of an outcropping of white stone sparkling in the sunlight in 1835 to the modern-day quarrying of this beautiful and durable material.

The elements that make Georgia Marble so remarkable are also covered, from its extraordinary purity to the strength caused by its interlocking crystals.

“Georgia Marble, America's True Stone Source,” illustrates how The Georgia Marble Co. has been in continuous operation since 1884, and stone is still being quarried from the original Georgia location. Georgia Marble/Dimension Stone is a division of Polycor, a North American supplier of stone materials.
