CUMBRIA, ENGLAND -- Burlington's blue/gray Kirkby stone floor tiles were selected to complete the new decor of a former banking hall at the Elephant & Castle in South East London into a popular new pub development for fast-expanding pub chain J.D. Wetherspoon.
Specified by London-based architects, Murdoch Bowers & Associates, the 300- x 300- x 12-mm stone floor tiles, complete with a sanded finish, cover the main walk area of the pub and are complemented by an attractive border featuring 200- x 200- x 12-mm size tiles in Burlington's pale green Elterwater stone. Together, they create a traditional decor and provide the perfect compliment to a whole host of other materials, including oak timber flooring, mosaic tiling, timber veneers and leather.
