The engineers at U.S. Granite Machinery have built and designed a new polisher, the Piranha. This machine can polish 2 cm thickness at 2 to 4 feet per minute and 3 cm at a rate of 1 1¿to 3 feet per minute, according to the company.
The Piranha comes with eight polishing heads and has controls that are simple to use, reports U.S. Granite Machinery. A second pass is not needed. The machine utilizes three-phase power and accommodates material thickness from 3¿to 4 inches.
